We focus on biofilm, not only on visible deposits.
Biofilm is an organised layer of microorganisms on the surface of teeth and restorations. It may not be obvious at first glance. So we don’t focus only on stains and tartar, but also on the places where the film keeps building up.
Our professional cleaning follows the Guided Biofilm Therapy (GBT) concept. We first make the biofilm visible and show you where it accumulates. Only then do we clean in a targeted way — gently to teeth, gums and restorations — and finally check the result.

We explain where the biofilm builds up and why, and make it visible if needed.
We remove biofilm and tartar with instruments and methods suited to the tissues and surfaces — teeth, roots, implants or prosthetics.
Not just “brush better”. We show you the specific movement, how to reach difficult places and which aids to use — and you try it.
Findings that need diagnosis or treatment go to the dentist. Hygiene and the preventive check-up complement each other.

Implants and restorations
An implant can’t decay. The tissues around it can get inflamed.
Biofilm builds up on implants and restorations just as on natural teeth. Inflammation can affect the soft tissues around an implant; with peri-implantitis, the supporting bone is lost too.
So care doesn’t end when the crown or bridge is fitted. For implants, bridges and All-on-X we show you how to clean under the restoration and which aids to use.

The lifetime guarantee on implants rests on regular care.
We give a lifetime guarantee on implants placed at D3NT — the surgical phase. The condition is that you come to us twice a year for a preventive check-up and dental hygiene.

The guarantee covers the implant screws. The prosthetic part has a separate warranty period depending on the material. The guarantee is not a promise that the surrounding tissues will never become inflamed. We discuss the exact scope and further conditions individually before treatment.

About hygiene and prevention
Is hygiene twice a year enough?+
For many patients it is a good plan, but visits alone don’t replace home care. We adjust the interval to your findings and risk.
Does hygiene replace the dental check-up?+
No. The hygienist and the dentist have related but different tasks. We coordinate the check-ups you need.
Do I need interdental brushes if I use an electric toothbrush?+
An electric toothbrush doesn’t replace targeted cleaning between the teeth. We choose a suitable interdental aid and size individually.
Should I stop brushing if my gums bleed?+
Don’t skip brushing, but don’t injure the gum with force. Persistent or repeated bleeding needs its cause and your technique assessed.
Do I need hygiene with implants too?+
Yes. An implant can’t decay, but the tissues around it can become inflamed. Both home and professional care matter.
Is dental hygiene always painless?+
Sensitivity varies with the condition of the tissues and the extent of treatment. We adapt the procedure and deal with any discomfort as we go.
